PESB Selects Lagadapati Venkata Srinivasa Sudhakar Babu as Managing Director of Sagarmala Finance Corporation
The Public Enterprises Selection Board has recommended Shri Lagadapati Venkata Srinivasa Sudhakar Babu, Executive Director at HUDCO, for the role of MD at Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited. Appointment awaits ACC approval.
Sudhakar Babu selected as MD of Sagarmala Finance Corporation by PESB
New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), part of the Department of Personnel and Training, has recommended Shri Lagadapati Venkata Srinivasa Sudhakar Babu for the role of Managing Director at Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (Schedule B).
The selection meeting, Minute No. 70/2025, took place at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. During this meeting, ten applicants were interviewed for the position. The candidates represented various public sector companies and government organizations, bringing a range of skills in finance, infrastructure, technical services, and project management.

After examining the qualifications and interviews, PESB recommended Shri Sudhakar Babu, who currently serves as Executive Director at HUDCO, for the leading position at Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited. His appointment will depend on the necessary clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited, as a Schedule B CPSE, plays an important role in funding port-led development projects under the Government of India’s Sagarmala Programme.
