PESB Selects Renu Purushottam as Director (Commercial) of MSTC Limited

New Delhi, 9 September 2026 — The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Smt. Renu Purushottam for the key board-level post of Director (Commercial) at MSTC Limited.

The decision was taken in PESB Meeting No. 75/2026 held on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.

Who is Renu Purushottam?

Smt. Renu Purushottam is currently serving as Additional General Manager and Regional Manager of the Western Region (Mumbai) at MSTC Limited. She was selected from a panel of 12 candidates who appeared for the interview.

Selection Process

PESB interviewed officers from:

• MSTC Limited

• MMTC Limited

• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited

• Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited

• Damodar Valley Corporation

After evaluating the candidates, the Board recommended Smt. Renu Purushottam for the Schedule B post of Director (Commercial).

What This Means

The recommendation will now go to the competent authority for final approval and appointment. Once appointed, she will be responsible for the commercial functions of MSTC Limited, a CPSE under the Ministry of Steel.

This is a significant leadership change at MSTC and reflects the ongoing process of filling board-level vacancies in Central Public Sector Enterprises through the PESB mechanism.
