PNB Warns of Possible Disruptions Amid September-October Bank Strikes
Mumbai: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has informed stock exchanges about multiple strike calls issued by bank employee and officer organisations for September and October 2026, warning that branch and office operations may be affected if the strikes materialise.
According to information shared by the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has called for strikes on September 11, 28, 29 and 30, followed by a continuous strike from October 26, 2026, in support of its demands.
Separately, the All India Bank Adhikari Sena Mahasangh (AIBASM) and Bank Karmachari Sena Mahasangh (BKSM) have called for strikes on September 28, 29 and 30, followed by a continuous strike from October 26, 2026.
PNB said it is taking necessary steps to ensure smooth functioning of its branches and offices on the strike dates. However, the bank cautioned that operations may be affected if the proposed strikes take place.

The strike calls do not mean that PNB branches will definitely remain closed on the specified dates. PNB has said operations may be affected if the strikes materialise and that it is taking measures to maintain smooth functioning.
The disclosure was made by PNB under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
