POWERGRID Invites Applications for Director (Personnel) Post; Apply by September 30

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has invited applications for the post of Director (Personnel) through the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). The vacancy is scheduled to occur on August 1, 2027, with the appointment carrying a pay scale of ₹1,80,000–₹3,40,000 (IDA).

The Director (Personnel) will be a Board-level position, reporting to the Chairman and Managing Director, with responsibility for personnel and industrial relations policies, administrative functions and related management responsibilities.

Eligibility

Applicants must be working in a regular capacity on the date of application and interview in an eligible organisation, including CPSEs, Central Government Group 'A' services, eligible State PSEs, public-sector banks/financial institutions, autonomous bodies, or qualifying private companies/JVs/federations.

Candidates must hold a graduate degree. Postgraduate qualifications in Personnel Management, Human Resource Management, MBA, PGDM or PGPM are desirable.

The notification gives priority to candidates with five years of HR/IR/Personnel experience during the last 10 years. Alternative experience routes are also specified for candidates with HR/IR experience combined with project/plant leadership responsibilities.

For CPSE candidates, the minimum eligible pay-scale service requirement is one year for internal candidates and two years for others as on the date of vacancy, subject to the detailed conditions in the notification.

Application Deadline

The applicant must submit the online application by 3:00 PM on September 30, 2026. For applicants requiring forwarding through a nodal or competent authority, the forwarding deadline is 5:00 PM on October 9, 2026.

PESB has stated that incomplete, late or physically/email-submitted applications will not be entertained.
