Senior IAS officer Akash Tripathi set to next Managing Director of SECI
Shri Akash Tripathi, an IAS officer of the 1998 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been selected as Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

New Delhi, 26 August 2025: Shri Akash Tripathi, an IAS officer of the 1998 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has been selected as Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
He is currently serving as Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Power.
He was born on 22 June 1975 in the Rewa district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. He studied at Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He did his MBA in Finance at the Institute of Management Studies, Devi Ahilya University, Indore.
