Shri Ajay Kumar Singh assumed charge as Executive Director (Elect), SJVN

Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, with over 34 years of experience, assumes charge as Executive Director (Elect.)/HoD Corporate Planning at SJVN. He previously served as CGM/CEO, SGEL, significantly growing its renewable portfolio from 2.1 GW to 7.2 GW. He is recognized for his work on projects like Nathpa Jhakri HPS and setting a commissioning benchmark at Rampur HPS.

New Delhi: Shri Ajay Kumar Singh assumed charge as Executive Director (Elect.)/ HoD Corporate Planning in SJVN. Earlier Shri Ajay Kumar Singh was CGM/ growth from 2.1 GW to 7.2 GW in less than three years. Shri Ajay Kumar Singh joined SJVN CEO, SGEL at Corporate Headquarters Shimla, where he led the company’s renewable portfolio in 1995 and has over 34 years of experience, including more than 25 years in the Hydro Sector.

He has contributed to key functions such as Electrical Design, QA, BDE, and execution of major projects like Nathpa Jhakri HPS and Rampur HPS. As EIC of Rampur HEP, he set a new benchmark with three units commissioned within 20 days of water availability, earning recognition from Ministry of Power, GoI.
