143rd meeting of the advisory committee of DoWR at CWC
New Delhi: 143rd Meeting of the Advisory Committee of DoWR, RD&GR on Irrigation, Flood Control & Multipurpose Projects was held under the chairmanship of Secretary, DoWR, RD&GR on 9.12.2019 at CWC, HQ, New Delhi. Total 10 Water Resources Projects were considered in this meeting.

1. Status of Trace & Toxic Metals in Indian Rivers (Third Edition)
2. Effect of Time & Temperature on DO levels in River Waters
The first and second editions of the Status of Trace & Toxic Metals in Indian rivers were published by CWC in May 2014 and April 2018, respectively. The revised and comprehensive Third edition of this report comprising the data of eight elements viz; Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Lead, Nickel and Zinc for the period from May 2014 to April 2018 has been prepared.
Effect of Time & Temperature on DO levels in River Waters highlights the effect of temperature, sunlight and photosynthesis of aqua plants on DO concentration in river water on a diurnal basis.
