2nd supercritical unit set up at NTPC

NAGPUR: The second supercritical unit of NTPC, Mouda near Nagpur was successfully commissioned here recently. 

 

The unit has operated continuously at full load for 72 hours and qualified for declaration of commercial operation. As per latest guidelines of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, a new unit has to deliver 0.165 million units of power in every block of 15 minutes during the entire period of 72 hours continuous operation.
