61 NITs issued so far in this fiscal year alone said Pralhad Joshi
NMET is effectively using funds to promote mineral exploration in the country.
New Delhi: Union Coal Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi on August 24, Thursday chaired a meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India to review the impact of mining reforms.
While chairing the meeting he said, "Happy to note that number of blocks auctioned by states have increased significantly. In the FY 2021-22, 46 blocks have been auctioned and in first 5 months of the ongoing fiscal, 49 auctions have been successfully conducted."
61 NITs have been issued so far in this fiscal year alone. Moreover, NMET is effectively using funds to promote mineral exploration in the country. Obvious Geological Potential has increased from 5.71 lakh sq. km to 6.88 lakh sq. km.
