New Delhi, March 21, 2026: Petronet LNG Limited has announced plans to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary under Section 8 of the Companies Act, aimed at promoting innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship in India’s energy sector.

The decision was approved during the company’s Board Meeting held on March 18, 2026, and disclosed to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

According to the company’s filing with both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), the proposed entity will operate as a not-for-profit organization limited by guarantee.

The upcoming subsidiary is envisioned as a dedicated institutional platform to strengthen innovation infrastructure and support startups across the energy value chain. It will focus on:

The company stated that further details regarding the incorporation and operational framework of the Section 8 subsidiary will be shared upon its formal establishment.
