New Delhi: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) is a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation which is under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the government of India celebrates the CISF rasing day to mark the dedication and relentless service of CISF to the industrial units and other establishments.
CISF Raising Day is observed every year during March throughout the country. This year, CISF celebrated its 53rd Raising Day on 05th March 2022 to celebrate their glorious 52 years of dedicated & selfless service to the nation.
The saga of CISF Contingent in CPCL started from 15th Feb 1973 with modest strength and over the decades it has increased along with the Refinery’s growth to 260. On this occasion of 53rd Raising Day of CISF, a function was held at CPCL on 5th March 2022. Shri Arvind Kumar, Managing Director, presided over and took salute & inspected the CISF Ceremonial Parade. During his address, he appreciated the role of CISF in the progress of CPCL and their requirement to balance security procedures with a people-friendly approach.
Shri S.Krishnan, Director ( Operations ), Shri J.T.Venkateswaralu, Chief Vigilance Officer, and Shri Naidu Bhaskar S, Deputy Commandant – CISF participated in the celebration along with senior officials, Collectives of CPCL, and CISF family members.
On this occasion demonstration of arms drill along with cultural programs of children of CISF personnel was performed.
