Coal Minister flagged off Dumper Truck at Nigahi OCP, NCL
Minister visited Nigahi OCP of Northern Coalfields Limited today and inspected dragline, shovel, and surface miners at work.
New Delhi: Shri Pralhad Joshi flagged off a Coal Dumper Truck at Nigahi OCP, Northern Coalfields Limited. This indigenous dumper has been manufactured by BEML.
Minister visited Nigahi OCP of Northern Coalfields Limited today and inspected dragline, shovel, and surface miners at work. He further interacted with employees to understand their issues and boost their morale. Advised expediting Nigahi expansion project to achieve 25 MT coal extraction.
Jayant OCP is one of the oldest and biggest coal projects of Northern Coalfields Limited. Visited the mine and reviewed coal production and offtake. Emphasized scaling up excavation activities to dispatch more coal to thermal power plants. He Interacted with mine workers at Jayant OCP and motivated them to go above and beyond to assure coal supply to the nation.
He also laid the foundation stone for the new Silo system at the Dudhichua project of Northern Coalfields Limited. As a part of CIL's first-mile connectivity projects, this silo will enhance coal evacuation and help in the environment-friendly transport of coal.
