MECON CSR team distributed masks and soap in village Pancha and Sungi
As a part of the ongoing Awareness campaign on the fight against COVID the CSR teams of Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants Limited (MECON) which is a Public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Steel of the Government of India, distributed masks and soap in Pancha and Sungi village.

Jharkhand: As a part of the ongoing Awareness campaign on the fight against COVID the CSR teams of Metallurgical & Engineering Consultants Limited (MECON) which is a Public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Steel of the Government of India, distributed masks and soap in Pancha and Sungi village.
MECON CSR team led by ED(CS) distributed masks & soap in village Pancha and also nutritional packets were distributed to around 108 children under the theme 'Health & Nutrition' #Unite2FightCorona Ministry of Steel, Government of India Dharmendra Pradhan.
Simultaneously the other MECON CSR team led by Shri RH Juneja, Director(Finance) and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Director (CS) distributed masks and soaps in Sungi village, as part of Covid19 Appropriate behavior awareness campaign. Nutritional packets were also provided to children under the theme 'Health & Nutrition' #Unite2FightCorona Ministry of Steel, Government of India Dharmendra Pradhan.
MECON began in 1959 as the Central Engineering and Designing Bureau (CEDB) of the Hindustan Steel Limited (HSL), the first public sector steel company. CEDB grew as Metallurgical and Engineering Consultant (MECON), a subsidiary of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in 1973. It later became an autonomous company reporting to the Ministry of Steel in 1978. 1 April is observed as Foundation Day in MECON.
