Gurugram: POWERGRID celebrates the 31st Raising Day in spirit of all employees and stakeholders who were part of more than three-decade journey of the Maharatna Company. The ceremony was held at Corporate Centre, Gurugram complying with all COVID-19 protocols and witnessed the presence of dignitaries and officials from across the country who joined through Video Conferencing. 
 
Shri R. K. Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of State, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship conveyed his best wishes to POWERGRID through a video message. He also praised the pace with which the Company has grown over the years, especially during the last year post attaining the “Maharatna” status.
 
On this occasion, Secretary (Power) Shri Sanjiv Nandan Sahai addressed the house through VC and congratulated POWERGRID for its sustainable growth over the years apart from featuring in the coveted Forbes Global Best Employers List. He emphasized the importance of human capital in moving the growth wheel of the country. Secretary (Power) also launched two web portals virtually namely ‘Annual Maintenance Plan’ DashBoard for facilitating better monitoring of AMPs and ‘Pratiphal’ for Rewards and Recognition scheme.
 
The event also witnessed the presence of Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Addl. Secretary (Transmission), Shri Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan, Joint Secretary (Transmission & IT), and other senior officials from the Ministry of Power. CMD POWERGRID addressed all employees of POWERGRID and apprised that the Company is focusing on the increased use of digital solutions and building a workforce that is nimble and innovative to beat the challenges of the ever-changing business environment. He urged employees to nurture the spirit of learning, upskilling, and delivery to take the organization to greater heights.
 
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Director (Personnel) who acknowledged the contribution of employees in the successful journey of POWERGRID.
