Workshop on AI for Beginners at NTPC Northern Region HQ

A workshop on “Artificial Intelligence for Beginners” was organised for employees and their family members at NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow. During the inaugural session, Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, RHOHR, NRHQ, welcomed the faculty Shri Sarabjit Ghosh, Director (IT), UPPCL and Ex-GM (IT), NTPC Ltd., along with his team. He shared that the initiative was undertaken under the leadership of Shri Goutam Deb, RED (North), with the objective of familiarising employees and their family members with the evolving applications of Artificial Intelligence.

He emphasized that the workshop aimed to help participants stay abreast of the rapid technological changes shaping the world today, and to understand how AI can be leveraged as an effective tool to adapt to them.

Addressing the participants, Shri Ghosh highlighted that the integration of AI has become essential for enhancing efficiency and productivity. He stressed on the need to automate routine tasks through AI while preserving human creativity and expertise.

The session provided insights into various AI tools and their practical applications, making the workshop highly interactive and an enriching learning experience for all participants.

Later in the day, a similar workshop was organised for employee spouses and members of Uttra Ladies Club to familiarise the use of AI in day-to-day life, which was appreciated by the participants.
