Single day Liquid Medical Oxygen dispatch from SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant sees new high
Rourkela: SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) set a new single day Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) dispatch on 14th May, 2021 by sending 28 tankers containing 499.16 tonnes of the life saving gas. The highly motivated team of the Oxygen Plants of RSP is tirelessly working to expedite the whole process right from ramping up of production to hassle free efficient safe loading and dispatch of the tankers on round the clock basis.
Notably, this month has witnessed record breaking spree in terms of daily dispatch of LMO from RSP. The previous daily record dispatch of 474.16 tonnes was achieved on 7th May, 2021.
Under the directive and guidance of Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for PNG & Steel, the Rourkela Steel Plant collective has been working diligently to supply Oxygen to destinations across the country. The Steel Plant has supplied 4982.71 tonnes of LMO from 1st to 14th of May, 2021 at an average to the tune of 356 tonnes per day. Since 1st April, 2021, liquid medical oxygen in excess of 7859 tonnes has been supplied from the Oxygen Plants of RSP, to various States across the country by tankers both by road transport as well as by rail through the Oxygen Express being operated by the Indian Railways.
