Rourkela, March 18, 2026: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced that the New Plate Mill (NPM) at Rourkela Steel Plant has achieved its highest-ever annual production of 9,32,400 tonnes, surpassing the previous record of 9,31,919 tonnes set in FY 2024–25.

This remarkable milestone was reached 19 days before the end of the fiscal year, highlighting efficient operations, consistent productivity, and strong workforce coordination at the plant.
