New Delhi: In the wake of boosting significant efforts to strengthen the nation's aviation infrastructure, AAI has built up a New Terminal Building at Gwalior Airport.

To foster the flight network and establish a positive outcome, the airport authority is taking major steps to conquer the development at the next level. The Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia Terminal of Gwalior Airport is witnessing a rising number of air travellers. Therefore, a New Terminal Building at the Airport premises is built at Rs 500 crores.

The development project comprises a New Terminal Building spanning 20,000 square metres area, an Apron with 13 Bays, 16 Check-in counters, a Car Parking facility for 600 cars and a lot more.

The New Terminal Building will be GRIHA-5 star rated and equipped with all modern sustainability features. Also, this airport will be capable of serving 1400 passengers during peak hours and 20 lakh passengers annually.

Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Airport, also known as Gwalior Airport is a domestic airport and an Indian Air Force base serving the city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The civil enclave is built on 29 acres of area. Earlier it was reported that the Airport Authority of India will build a new terminal building of an area of 20,000 sq m to handle 1,400 peak-hour passengers, ancillary buildings, car parking, city-side development etc.
