Bank of Maharashtra appoints Shri Nidhu Saxena as MD & CEO of Bank board
The central government has appointed Shri Nidhu Saxena, Executive Director, Union Bank of India as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Bank of Maharashtra.
The central government has appointed Shri Nidhu Saxena, Executive Director, Union Bank of India as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Bank of Maharashtra, vice Shri A.S. Rajeev, consequent upon his selection as Vigilance Commissioner in Central Vigilance Commission, for three years with effect from the date of assumption of office, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Nidhu Saxena assumed the charge as MD & CEO of the Bank on 27.03.2024. The appointment has been done under Clause (a) of sub-section (3) of Section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970. The Tenure is three years with effect from the date of assumption of office i.e. from March 27, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He has over 26 years of experience working in diversified areas of banking. Before joining the Bank of Maharashtra, he was the Executive Director of Union Bank of India. He has been on the Board of Union Bank of India (UK) Limited and Union Asset Management Company Limited and has also been a member of the Academic Council of the National Institute of Bank Management, Pune, and the Governing Body of the Indian Institute of Bank Management, Guwahati.
