BCPL bagged 'Golden Bird National Award' in best HR Response
Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited has bagged the prestigious “Golden Bird National Award 2021-22” in Gold Award on “Best HR Response towards Pandemic” in the polymer industry.
New Delhi: Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited, a public sector undertaking bagged the prestigious “Golden Bird National Award 2021-22” in Gold Award on “Best HR Response towards Pandemic” in the polymer industry. Shri Asit Das, General Manager (HR) gave the presentation on the aforesaid topic before the eminent Jury Members Dr. Avdesh Mathur, Former CEO, STQC Certification Services & Sr. Director Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. Of India and Mr. Anuj Arya, Seasoned EHS/OHS/Fire-Safety.
There was stiff competition in the category where companies like NPTC, Hindalco Industries Limited, Welsum India Limited, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, HPCL, ONGC, Meinhardt EPCM India Pvt.Ltd, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. Kansai Nerolac Paints, and Hindustan Coca–Cola Beverages participated in the presentation along with BCPL.
BCPL's result in Pandemic
In a pandemic, the BCPL has also been affected by the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic with some of its employees tested positive and treated for the viral infection. However, the company successfully managed to operate in the financial year 2020–21 achieving even 106% capacity utilisation with a turnover of Rs. 2,819 crore (US$370 million).
It produced 2.86 lakh metric tonnes of polymers and 60,145 metric tonnes of liquid hydro-carbons during this period.
