BEL Chennai donates 3 Mobile Opthal Units under CSR

Chennai: Bharat Electronics Limited's Chennai Unit under its CSR activities, donated 3 Mobile Opthal Units and associated equipment to Govt Hospitals in Nilgiris, Madurai and Kanyakumari districts of Tamil Nadu.
The project, at an estimated cost of Rs 2.15 Cr, aims to augment the efforts of the Tamil Nadu Govt in eradicating avoidable blindness by reaching out to the poor and needy in remote locations.
The Mobile Opthal Units were handed over by Mr Bhanu Prakash Srivastava, CMD, in the presence of Mr K V Suresh Kumar, Director (Mktg), and Mr GL Pedro, ED (Chennai), to Dr Chandrakumar, Project Director, Tamil Nadu State Blindness Control Society, and respective District Project Managers.
