Bharat Petroleum Distributed Five Bandicoot Robots to Coimbatore Municipal Corporation
Coimbatore: Bharat Petroleum distributed five Bandicoot Robots to Coimbatore Municipal Corporation to replace Manual Scavenging, in presence of Shri Shravan Kumar, Coimbatore Municipal Commissioner and Shri Jayesh Shah, Executive Director (HRS), who joined remotely from Mumbai and other senior officials from Coimbatore Municipal Corporation and BPCL.
Bandicoot, a robotic scavenger, was developed by Genrobotic Innovations, who were provided grants, mentor support and specific technical assistance by BPCL under Project Ankur, to improve the working conditions of conservancy workers.
