Shri. Bikram Ghosh takes charge as Director (Finance) in WCL
New Delhi: Shri. Bikram Ghosh took charge as the new Director (Finance) at Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). Previously, Shri. Ghosh served as General Manager (Finance) at BCCL, a subsidiary company of Coal India Limited. He has over 28 years of experience in Financial Management in Coal Industry.
Shri. Ghosh, having obtained his ICMA degree in 1992, started his career with the Life Insurance Corporation of India. He joined Coal Industry in 1996, as Finance Officer in BCCL. Since then, Shri. Ghosh has served in various capacities in different areas and the headquarters of the company. He has wide experience in Procurement, Contracts, Accounts, Taxation, Fund, Cost Management and Payment Technology.

Shri. Ghosh played a pivotal role in the revival of BCCL, thus pulling it out of BIFR. He pioneered re-structuring/re-engineering of finance activities at BCCL and succeeded in merger of various units reducing the cost burden to the company. He is known for promoting technological advancements in the company with effective initiatives like implementation of modernized payment gateway, digitalized official work, implementation of SAP, etc.

Upon assuming charge as Director (Finance), Shri. Bikram Ghosh met WCL CMD Sri J. P. Dwivedi and Director Technical (Operations / Projects & Planning) Sri A. K. Singh. They extended warm welcome to Shri. Ghosh on the occasion.
