Chairman CIL Visited to NCL
Singrauli: Shri A. K. Jha, Chairman, Coal India Limited was on 2 days visit to NCL, concluded yesterday on 28th March 2019. During his visit to NCL, Shri Jha reviewed the performance of the company, inspected mines and several initiatives of the company. Throughout his visit, CMD NCL Shri P. K. Sinha, Director (Technical/Operations) Shri Gunadhar Pandey, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Shri A. K. Shrivastava, Director (Technical/Project and Planning) Shri P. M. Prasad and Director (Finance) Shri N. N. Thakur and senior officials of NCL accompanied him. During the visit, the Chairman inspected several mines of NCL and gave instructions on production and productivity.
Shri A. K Jha, on the second day of his NCL visit, inspected 3 mega projects of NCL- Khadia, Nigahi and Amlohri and reviewed the work there. He appreciated the operation of these mines and gave necessary instructions and suggestions for further improvement of coal production and dispatch.
During the visit, various coal areas and units got multiple utilities. Khadia area got a workshop and 2 new dumpers of 100-tonne capacity each. The newly constructed state-of-the-art workshop also provides for the maintenance of the shovel with repairs of dumpers of up to 190-tonne capacity. A dragline was commissioned in Amlohri Area and CISF (Central Industrial Reserve Forces) deployed in Amlohri got quarters. NSC got a new canteen.
During the NCL visit, Shri A.K. Jha encouraged the players of various coal companies by joining as Chief Guest on the occasion of the closing ceremony of the 29th Coal India Inter Company Weight Lifting, Powerlifting and Bodybuilding competition held in the company's Nigahi area.
During his visit, Shri AK Jha also met union and CMOAI representatives. He left for Varanasi on Thursday noon.
