Coal India forays into non-coal mineral mining project with Ministry of Mines
The tenure is 1 year for the grant of composite license and 3 years for execution of mining Lease deed. Currently, the project is in a very preliminary phase, necessitating further exploration.
Coal India Limited has received an order from the Ministry of Mines, Govt of India for a Composite license (prospecting and mining). In alignment with the government’s Atmanirbharta vision, Coal India has formed a special team to focus on other critical minerals both globally and within India.
As reported, CIL must pay a mining premium of 150.05 percent of the value of minerals dispatched to the state government.
The order consists of a Composite license (prospecting and mining), on initiating a mining premium of 150.05 % of the value of mineral dispatched to be paid to the State Govt.
