New Delhi, February 21, 2026: With the CBSE Board Examinations 2026 for Classes X and XII scheduled from February 17 to April 10, 2026, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced special measures to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel for students across the national capital.

Considering that lakhs of students will be commuting daily to examination centres, DMRC, in coordination with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has implemented facilitation measures to manage the increased footfall at metro stations during exam days.

Special Arrangements for CBSE Students

To minimize delays and reduce stress for students, the following arrangements have been put in place:

  • Priority in Security Checks: Students carrying valid CBSE Admit Cards will be given priority during frisking and security screening at metro stations.

  • Priority in Ticketing: Students showing their Admit Cards will also receive priority while purchasing tickets at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care (CC) centres.

  • Centralized Announcements: Special announcements will be made at metro stations to guide and assist students during peak exam hours.

Ensuring Stress-Free Commute

The CBSE Board Exams 2026, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), are among the most significant academic milestones for students. Recognizing the importance of punctuality and ease of travel during this crucial period, DMRC’s initiative aims to reduce travel-related anxiety and ensure timely arrival at examination centres.

DMRC officials have urged students to carry their admit cards at all times while traveling and advised commuters to cooperate with metro staff to facilitate smooth movement.

The initiative reflects Delhi Metro’s continued commitment to supporting students and ensuring efficient public transport services during critical academic events.
