Coal India Launches Shiksha Program
New Delhi: Shri P.M. Prasad, Chairman Coal India, launched the Shiksha programme intending to increase adult literacy rates in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.
Speaking at the event, Shri Prasad said that CIL is confident the project will give the learners a fresh start in life and establish a solid model for subsequent replication and expansion.
This CSR initiative, in collaboration with Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM), aims to increase literacy and achieve the goal of 100% adult literacy rates.
