CPCL, MD inaugurates new SRU Control Room at CPCL Manali
The new control room has state-of-the-art DCS and PLC Controls supplied by M/s. Emerson Process Management (India) Private Limited.
Manali: The Control Room of the new Sulphur Recovery Unit (2 trains of each 100 T / day capacity) was Inaugurated by Shri Arvind Kumar, Managing Director, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited in the august presence of Smt.Vartika Shukla, Chairman & Managing Director, EIL on 16.09.2021.
The senior Management team of CPCL and EIL comprising of Directors, EDs & CGMs, and Employees, Collectives & Contractors also participated on the occasion.
The new control room has state-of-the-art DCS and PLC Controls supplied by M/s. Emerson Process Management (India) Private Limited. The closed loops are on the latest Foundation Field Bus technology to reduce the cabling and in turn overall cost of plant.
The Fire alarm system of the new unit is interfaced with the existing Fire Alarm System and will be monitored centrally from the Fire & Safety Control Room in CPCL Manali Refinery.
