DVC Inaugurates mural painting at Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station

To integrate art, culture and local heritage of Purulia, West Bengal with the industrial landscape, a series of wall mural paintings were inaugurated by Shri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS, Chairman DVC and senior officials on 03-01-2025 at Raghunathpur TPS. The elements of the mural painting reflect the heritage, tourist locales and geographical indicators of the Purulia district. Another mural is designed to sensitize personnel working at the power station regarding safety and health through visual communication.

This unique initiative will add to the aesthetic beauty of the power station and communicate the rich culture of Purulia as well as promote the importance of safety and health. A book on the mural project was released on the occasion and the artists associated with the project were felicitated. DVC is committed to promote and support art, heritage and culture in all its plants and establishments.
