DVC signs agreement with SPD and Avaada Inclean
Earlier MoP, GoI launched its flagship scheme named ‘Scheme for Flexibility in generation and scheduling of Thermal/Hydro power stations’ to facilitate bundling of Renewable Energy by substituting part of costlier thermal energy.
New Delhi: DVC signed PPA with Solar Power Developer (SPD), Avaada Inclean Pvt. Ltd. at DVC HQ, Kolkata on 15th March 2024 towards the Procurement of 300 MW Solar Power to be established by the SPD anywhere in India. DVC has become the first organization to enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for RE bundling with its thermal power under flexibility scheme of MoP, GoI to reduce carbon emission significantly.
Earlier MoP, GoI launched its flagship scheme named ‘Scheme for Flexibility in generation and scheduling of Thermal/Hydro power stations’ to facilitate bundling of Renewable Energy by substituting part of costlier thermal energy. Implementation of the scheme by DVC will enable the organization to supply green power to its beneficiaries at cheaper rate against the existing PPA and also help them in complying Renewal Purchase Obligation (RPO).
