A One day workshop on "Building Risk Based Occupational Health and Safety Culture in Process Industry" was conducted at Learning and Development Centre in RINL Visakhapatnam Steel Plant by the Factories Dept. Govt. of AP, today.
Shri D Chandra Sekhar Varma, Director of Factories, Govt. of AP and Chairman, National Safety Council (NSC), AP Chapter spoke about the importance of Safety Culture in Process Industries and Control Measures to prevent Accidents during his keynote address.
Shri Abhijith Chakraborty, CGM(W) I/c emphasized the importance of Employee participation in preventing accidents in the Industry.
Shri S S Rao, Director Laurus Labs Ltd and Vice Chairman of National Safety Council, AP Chapter had briefed about the activities National Safety Council that has taken to improve the competencies of employees to build a strong safety Culture.
Shri J Siva Sankar Reddy Garu, Jt Chief Inspector of Factories, VSKP , Shri GVVS Narayana ,DCIF,AP , P Chinna Rao Inspector of Factories, K Sudhakar Inspector of Factories and Shri MSV Krishnaiah Chief General Manager(Safety & Environment), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant were also present at the workshop.
240 employees from Pharma Industries and Chemical Industries in Visakhapatnam have participated in this program and got benefitted.
