IRCON seeks bids for track upgrade project in Sri Lanka

IRCON International Limited, a renowned Indian public sector engineering and construction company, has recently invited an e-Tender for the complete renewal of a railway track in Sri Lanka. The work is set to take place between Maho and Anuradhapura, two key locations on the Sri Lanka Railways map.
The project involves the installation of 60kg rails and PSC sleepers, alongside other ancillary works. The estimated cost of the project is a staggering INR 19,29,11,692, marking it as a significant investment in the infrastructure of the region. The company has set a completion period of 120 days, which underscores the urgency and importance of the project. The bid submission end date is 08th Dec, 2023 and Bid Opening Date is 09th Dec, 2023.

The scope of work includes dismantling the existing track, transportation and stacking of materials, placing concrete sleepers, fixing fittings, and linking the track.
