Nilendu Kumar Singh selected for Director-Technical post in ECL

New Delhi: Public enterprises selection board (PESB) on August 17, 2022, Wednesday selected Nilendu Kumar Singh for the post of Director (Technical) of West Bengal-based coal producer Eastern Coalfields Limited. Currently, he is serving as General Manager in South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.

PESB in the Selection meeting interviewed six others apart from him including Mr. NILADRI ROY, Executive Director, Coal India Limited (CIL), Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, General Manager, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd., Mr. Rajesh Kumar Amar, General Manager, Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL), Mr. Prakash Chandra, General Manager, South Eastern Coalfields Ltd., Mr. Jitendra Malik, General Manager, Bharat Coking Coal Ltd., Dr. Binay Kumar, Additional General Manager, NTPC Limited.

ECL operates coal mines in Jharkhand and, West Bengal states of India. It inherited all the private sector coal mines of the Raniganj Coalfield. It is one of the fully owned subsidiaries of Coal India Limited. The company has its headquarters at Sanctoria, in West Bengal.
