Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman interacts with investors & business leaders in Tokyo

Tokyo: Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with investors & business Leaders during an event on “Rising Investment Opportunities: Destination India”, organised in collaboration with Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) & Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (JCCI) and the Indian Embassy in Tokyo.

While interacting she said, This year's Union Budget, first of the Amrit Kaal, was a budget not just for this financial year but had several features which will lay the foundation and strengthen it for leading India up to 2047.

The Union govt saved more than Rs 2 lakh crore through DBT by cutting down on money which was being pilfered earlier through false payments across different schemes implemented by the Union govt.

PM Modi has emphasised and laid a dream before the country that India should be a developed nation by 2047, for which measures will have to be taken in so many different areas & at different levels that we overcome several missed opportunities, she added.
