NLC CMD Asserts at Public Enterprises Technology Conclave at Chennai.
CHENNAI. A two day technology conclave on the theme “Vision New India 2022- Development through technology for all’ was jointly organised by IIT Madras and Ministry of Heavy Industries And Public Enterprises at Chennai on 15.09.2019 and 16.09.2019. Senior Officials in the Public Enterprise Technology Conclave held at IIT, Madrras Shri Rakesh Kumar, CMD, NLC India Ltd., Dr. Madhukar Gupta, Additional Secretary, Dept. of Public Enterprises, Government of India, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Prof. Bhaskar Ramamurthi, Director, IIT, Madras and a Faculty from IIT, Madras.
During the inaugural session, in the presence of Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Shri. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Dr. Madhukar Gupta, Additional Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India and the IIT, Madras faculty , Shri Rakesh Kumar, CMD NLC India Limited and Chairman SCOPE, spoke on how industry and academia can work together to serve the nation better through capacity building. He equated on a newer pattern of education and skill development in relevance with the requirements of the business world for overcoming the challenges of the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous global business environment.
The conclave which continued with various panel discussions on various topics ranging from role of CSR in technology to leveraging CSR funding for nation building was well attended and benefitted by CEOs of various CPSE and other reputed organisations.
