NRL Director Finance addressed at prestigious S&P Global Mumbai Forum 2022
New Delhi: NRL Director Finance Mr. Indranil Mittra was invited as a Keynote Speaker to address the inaugural session of the prestigious S&P Global Mumbai Forum 2022 held on 20th and 21st June 2022.
The 2-day annual forum was organized by M/s Platts with the objective of providing vital updates on the global energy mix, forces driving the Asian transportation fuel markets, key insights on Crude Oil, LNG & other commodity markets and is attended by peer industry members and global experts from the oil & gas industry alike.
Director Finance in his address touched upon pertinent points related to prevailing market dynamics and how it is impacting the oil industry, the increase in percentage share of natural gas in India`s energy mix, and steps taken by the Government of India for shifting the focus of oil and gas companies towards becoming energy providers rather than being only fossil fuel providers.
He also shared updates on the increasing percentage of ethanol blending in petrol, expansion of CGD network in India, significant investments coming up in the petrochemical sector and how refinery integration has emerged as a key source of cost competitiveness.
While talking on the North East Hydrocarbon Vision 2030, he informed the forum on the investment plans of NRL under various projects namely refinery capacity expansion, venturing into petrochemicals, setting up of bio-refinery for 2G ethanol, Indo Bangla Friendship Pipeline apart from NRL’s contribution in supporting development & growth of the region.
