NTPC CMD appreciated NPCIL's strengths in nuclear power
New Delhi, August 20, 2025: At the invitation of NPCIL, NTPC's senior management team headed by Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC visited NPCIL Headquarters on August 16, 2025. Shri Bhuwan Chandra Pathak, CMD, NPCIL along with his team of senior officers, welcomed CMD, NTPC and his team.
During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation was made by NPCIL, broadly covering the salient features of nuclear power technology, its evolution, its complexities, regulation, the finer nuances of nuclear business, NPCIL, its evolution, growth and future plans.

This was followed by detailed discussions on all these topics including implementation of the Mahi Banswara project. The Mahi Banswara 1 to 4 (4X700 MW) indigenous Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) project has been allotted to ASHVINI, a Joint Venture of NPCIL and NTPC Ltd. by the Government for implementation.
