NTPC Dulanga coal mine is commercially operational
Telangana: NTPC's Dulanga coal mine is currently operational for the projects and minings. National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, an Indian Public Sector Undertaking power said on Monday that its Dulanga coal mine is commercially operational from October 1, 2020.
In a BSE filing it mentioned, "Based on the achievement of approved norms and due approval; Dulanga Coal Mine (in Odisha) of NTPC Limited, having an ultimate peak rated annual capacity of 7 Million Tonnes Per Annum, is declared commercial operation from October 1, 2020"
NTPC directs nine coal blocks which are allocated by the central government— Pakri-Barwadih, Chatti-Bariatu & Chatti- Bariatu (South), Kerandari, Dulanga, Talaipalli, Banai, Bhalumuda, Mandakini-B, and Badam.
The power giant and a wholly-owned subsidiary, NTPC is currently planning to produce around 103 million metric tonnes (MMT) of coal per annum. TPC is in the process of obtaining various approvals/clearances in the remaining five mines.
