NTPC Kaniha celebrates 75th Republic Day

New Delhi: The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Kaniha on 26th January. Shri A K Sehgal HOP, Kaniha unfurled the national flag and took salute of a combined March past of CISF, Township security Jawan and students  Township schools at the outdoor stadium. Colourful balloons were released to mark the occasion.

Among others, Shri Satya Rama Krishna, GM (O & M), Shri Prakash Kumar, GM (FM), Shri A J Rajkumar, GM (Mntc), Shri B K Pandey, HOHR, HODs,  Smt Renu Sehgal, President Tanvi Sangam, representatives of unions and association were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sehgal said that Kaniha had contributed over 5% to the NTPC group generation of 340.49 BU. We are placed at 4th position in SEM ranking and in 2nd position in PEM ranking in NTPC, he added. He said that Kaniha had achieved 100% ash utilisation for the first time on December 23, he added. He also stated that Kaniha had become the first station in NTPC to collect fine export quality fly ash from 3rd field.

Employees received HOP merit awards for their outstanding contributions in their work areas. Members of Tanvi Sangam were feted for their contributions during the GEM workshop. Mamveyata Puraskar, Best Employee and Women Employee of the Year awards were also presented.

A grand cultural presentation on patriotic themes was made by the students of Township schools, children of Bal Bhawan and members of Tanvi Sangam.

Later, Shri Sehgal, accompanied by the President of Tanvi Sangam and other dignitaries visited the hospital and presented a fruit basket to the patients.

The national flag was also unfurled at the Admin Building by Shri Ch Satya Rama Krishna, GM(O&M).

The national Flag was also hoisted at Evershine Nursery School by  Smt Renu Sehgal, and President Tanvi Sangam.
