NTPC offers 25 cr in 1st installment for development of govt medical college at Raigarh
RAIGARH: NTPC has extended Rs 25 Crore in first installment for development of Govt. Medical College in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. Shri Vinod Choudhary, Regional Executive Director (West-II) of NTPC presented the cheque of 25 crore to Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel here today.
It is to be noted here that NTPC Limited has committed to extend Rs 100 crore grant for development of Govt Medical College with a larger objective to strengthen healthcare facilities in the district. The amount will be utilised for developing infrastructure, equipment and overall upgradation of the medical college.
An MoU in this regard had been signed between NTPC and Govt of Chhattisgarh on 27th November 2019. Among others, Smt Niharika Barik Singh, Secretary, Department of Health, Family Welfare & Medical Education, Govt of Chhattisgarh, Shri M S Ramesh, General Manager (HR) and senior officials of CG Govt and NTPC were present.
