New Delhi: ONGC is proud to announce the inauguration of its state-of-the-art ASP Chemical Enhanced Oil Recovery (CEOR) Project at Jhalora Field, Ahmedabad Asset on 10 June 2025. This landmark achievement signifies a major advancement in ONGC’s ongoing efforts to enhance oil recovery from mature fields through cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.

Why is this significant?
The Alkali-Surfactant-Polymer (ASP) injection scheme is specifically designed to enhance oil recovery from the K-III+IV reservoir of the Jhalora Field. The project is expected to yield an incremental gain of 0.598 Million Metric Tonnes (MMt) of crude oil by FY 2039-40, contributing an additional 4.27% recovery, a transformative boost in India’s energy production.
