State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has successfully acquired “Bhadla-III & Bikaner-III Transmission Limited”. This Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) was acquired from PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL), the Bid Process Coordinator, through a Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, where POWERGRID emerged as the successful bidder against various private sector competitors.

The project involves the implementation of a 765kV D/C transmission line interconnecting the Bhadla-III and Bikaner-III substations, along with the associated bay extension work in Rajasthan. As an Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) project, it is set to be commissioned within 24 months.
