Power Minister R.K Singh dedicated PowerGrid Saharsa Sub-Station to nation
New Delhi: Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, Hon'ble Union Minister (Power, New and Renewable Energy), Shri R.K Singh dedicated the Newly constructed 400/220/132 KV POWERGRID Sitamarhi Sub-Station to the nation on April 14, 2022. This sub-station has been constructed by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Maharatna company of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The program was concluded in the august presence of Chief Guest Shri Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Hon'ble Minister of Energy, Planning and Development, Bihar. Hon'ble MP, Sitamarhi, Shri Sunil Kumar Pintu, Hon'ble MLA, Sitamarhi, Shri Mithilesh Kumar, Honorable members of Bihar Legislative Council Shri Devesh Chandra Thakur, Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh and Smt. Rekha Singh were also present on this occasion.
Along with this, Shri K. Shrikant, Chairman and Managing Director, POWERGRID and senior officials of State Government and POWERGRID were also present.
This sub-station is situated in Parmanandpur village under Dumra block of Sitamarhi district and is very important from the point of view of energy flow. The total cost of this power sub-station built on 36 acres of land is Rs. 644 crore and its transformation capacity is up to 1400 MVA.
This sub-centre is 400/220/132 K. V. Connected to Motihari & Darbhanga sub-centre and 400 kV to North Bihar. Strengthening the connectivity of the state with the National Grid by providing an additional source of the inter-state transmission system.
