REC sponsors furniture and learning material in Mamit district Mizoram
The Chief Guest distributed Furniture to 170 Government Schools and learning materials to the concerned Department.
Mizoram: A launching Programme of Furniture (desks, chairs, tables, green boards) to 170 Government Schools and learning material for about 5000 Out of School Students and adult illiterates received from CSR funds of REC Limited was held at the DC Conference Hall, Mamit with Er. H. Lalzirliana MLA Mamit, as the Chief Guest, Shri Dharam Pal – Central Prabhari Officer for Mamit Aspirational District and Additional Secretary, Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
The Chief Guest distributed Furniture to 170 Government Schools and learning materials to the concerned Department. Er. H. Lalzirliana mentioned that people in the district are happy with the interventions and conveyed his gratitude regarding the performance of DC Mamit and other officials behind the improvement in various parameters of Mamit district, which puts it amongst the higher rungs in the ranking system.
He thanked REC for providing CSR funds generously such that it allows a district-wide reach of materials. Shri Dharam Pal appreciated the efforts of District authorities and REC in designing the project interventions that improve Health, Nutrition and School education indicators.
