RINL Stands for the Divyangjan
Visakhapatnam: Shri Kishore Chandra Das, Director (Personnel) RINL inaugurated the Training and Learning Material (TLM) camp, a CSR initiative of RINL Visakhapatnam Steel Plant for intellectually challenged SC & ST children from Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts at Arunodaya Special School Ukkunagaram, Around 120 children were given Training and Learning Material (TLM) kits during the function. National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disability (NIEPID) provided these kits each costing around Rs.10, 000. The material will help the children in improving their skills and learning abilities.
Inaugurating the camp, Shri Das affirmed that RINL is committed to support and help children with special needs and develop their potential to the fullest extent. Arunodaya Special School, was built with an intent to create an environment where the differently-abled children can bloom into confident and self-reliant individuals. RINL is extending financial support of Rs. 30 Lakhs every year to provide free education to around 100 differently-abled children through Arunodaya Special School. Further RINL has taken up a project for providing Skill Development Training to ‘People with Disabilities (Divyangjan)’ through NHFDC. The project is providing training in various skills to belonging to PwD (Divyangjan) category persons to enable them to earn their livelihood.
The camp was organized in association with NIEPID Govt. of India.
