New Delhi: Shri. Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs along with Shri. Raosaheb Patil Danve, Hon’ble Minister of State for Coal, Mines & Railways, Govt. of India inaugurated the Madhuband washery in Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. via video conferencing.

Key Features of Madhuband washery
- The Madhuband washery with a washing capacity of 5 million tonnes of raw coking coal per annum, has one of the largest coking coal washeries in India.
- This washery can save around 576 million USD per annum with its peak capacity of washing 20MTPA coal.
- It is a great leap towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
Shri. Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, Coal India Limited, FDs of CIL, and senior officials from the Ministry of Coal joined the inauguration online.
