Shri Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation of the CBG plant
The scientific fervor and innovative capabilities will help in the effective monetization of our huge bio-waste reserves into wealth.

Karnataka: Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Steel laid the foundation stone of Leafiniti Bioenergy’s press mud-based compressed bio-gas plant at Jamkhandi in Karnataka through video conference. The plant will produce CBG from sugarcane press-mud and pave the way for the creation of a circular economy in the biofuel value chain.
Apart from producing CBG for use in automotive, industrial, and other commercial areas, the plant is set up with the technological collaboration of PRAJ Industries Ltd. will also produce solid fertilizers and liquid manure and give further momentum to waste-to-wealth creation.
"Under PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, we have laid a vibrant policy framework through SATAT to enable a conducive ecosystem for green fuels." The scientific fervor and innovative capabilities will help in the effective monetization of our huge bio-waste reserves into wealth.
Shri Pradhan said this is the beginning of a new chapter in the sustainable energy journey of the country. I invite our young entrepreneurs to come forward and help create a vibrant ecosystem in India based on the Waste to Wealth model and play a role in boosting India's CBG economy.
I congratulate PRAJ Industries Ltd., Leafinity Bioenergy, and DVO Inc. for this innovative initiative. Our govt. under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is committed to achieving sustainable and cleaner pathways in building an Aatmanirbhar India, he added.
