Durgapur: Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Shri Dharmendra Pradhan reviewed the preparations at Matix Fertilisers Plant in Durgapur ahead of Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to West Bengal on 7th February where he will dedicate key infrastructure projects to the nation. This will be a momentous occasion for eastern India.
The Dobhi-Durgapur pipeline project apart from providing environment-friendly fuel to households, transport, and industries across major towns of Jharkhand and West Bengal will also supply gas to the Durgapur-based Matix Fertilisers and ensure its continuous operations.
Matix Fertilizer plant is one of the world’s largest single-stream ammonia and urea plant. Commencement of affordable gas supply will boost production of urea, enhance agricultural productivity in the region and also generate direct and indirect employment opportunities.
