SJVN signed MoU with Himachal Pradesh National Law University
New Delhi: In the benign presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Lingappa Narayana Swamy, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court along with other Hon’ble Judges of High Court, Chief Secretary of GoHP, Dr. Shrikant Baldi and Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN Limited , Shri Nand Lal Sharma, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between SJVN Foundation and Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) for construction of Hostel and Mess Block for the students of HPNLU.
The MoU to this effect was signed by Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel) SJVN and Prof. Dr. Nishtha Jaswal, Vice Chancellor, HPNLU. SJVN Foundation under its Corporate Social Responsibility will extend financial support for construction of Hostel Block to HPNLU in phased manner and the project will be completed in around 24 months.On this occasion, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma apprised that SJVN, under its Corporate Social Responsibility, has been undertaking various activities to contribute towards the Skill Development of the youth. Eight ITIs across Himachal Pradesh have been adopted and SJVN is contributing significantly for their infrastructural development.
Here it is worthwhile to mention that besides above, SJVN undertakes its CSR and Sustainability projects in six verticals namely, Health & hygiene, Education & Skill Development, Sustainable Development, Infrastructural & Community Development, Assistance during natural disaster, Promotion of Culture & Sports. SJVN has been laying special focus in implementation of CSR activities in and around its area of operations and making significant contribution in the improvement of quality of life of the stakeholders.
