Steel Minister to flag off Coastal Shipping of RINL
Visakhapatnam: Sri Chaudhary Birender Singh, Hon’ble Union Steel Minister is arriving tonight at Visakhapatnam. The Steel Minister will be accompanied by Sri Saraswati Prasad, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ms Ruchika Chaudhry Govil, Joint Secretary and Sri Neeraj Agrawal, Director, Ministry of Steel.
Sri Birender Singh will inaugurate the Badminton Coaching Camp and felicitate Vizag Steel Brand Ambassador, Ms PV Sindhu at Multi-Purpose Hall in Ukkunagaram on 1st November, 2017. Later, the Hon’ble Steel Minister will review the performance of RINL and will hold discussions with the top management headed by Sri P Madhusudan, CMD.
Commissioning of Turbo Blower-5: The Steel Minister will also commission the newly built Turbo Blower-5 in Thermal Power Plant premises. This is a standby Turbo Blower to ensure uninterrupted supply of Cold Blast to Blast Furnace-3.
Coastal Shipping: Sri Birender Singh will flag off maiden Coastal Shipping of RINL-Vizag Steel products at Visakhapatnam Port Trust at 4 PM tomorrow. The project will be executed by a private Consortium to haul 2.25 lakh tons of VSP products to Ahmedabad, Cochi and Mumbai. RINL is foraying into sea trade for the first time under the Sagarmala project initiated by GoI.
